Week 3/06: Live 8 from Hyde Park

Actually, this weeks CD is not a CD – its a DVD. The Live 8 DVD was a Christmas gift from my brother & family. It was recorded at the Live 8 show in Hyde Park, London, on July 2nd 2005.

Since my iPods do not play DVD’s, I have googled the net to find an application that can rip the audio-track of a DVD and pub it on an iPod. I found a program called WireTap that records whatevery you are currently playing on your computer. This program is for Mac, but if your on a Windows-system there is probably something equivalent out there. With WireTap I have made AAC-files that my iPod will play. It’s all very easy, so just go for it.

The Live 8 DVD is a 4-disc box set and for the moment I have only had time to rip the first disc. My favorite tracks on that disc are:

Bob Geldof “I Don’t Like Mondays.” He also played that track at the 1985-gig, but that was with the Boomtown Rats. This one is just as good! U2 “Beautiful Day.” That is the world’s greatest rock band. Period. Black Eyed Peas “Where Is The Love,” which has a very catchy riff. Keane “Somewhere Only We Know,” and Annie Lennox with “Why.”

Macworld 2006

Week 2/06: Röyksopp `The Understanding’

Super godt album fra Norge. Mine favorit tracks p.t. (med lidt under 20 afspilninger per stk.)

`49 Percent,’
`Beautiful Day Without You,’
`What Else Is There?,’
`Circuit Breaker’ og
`Someone Like Me.’
